Dancing Goat Creamery

Dancing Goat Creamery is an artisanal, farmstead creamery producing fresh, organic goat cheese.

Our operation

The entire operation is based on a delightful herd of Alpine goats.  All the goats receive individual attention.  They have ample pasture, barn access, and fresh browse.  While on the milking stand, they receive organic grain.

The process

Fresh milk is turned into cheese daily, ensuring a quality product.  Dancing Goat produces fresh chevre, ash ripened St. Maurve and crottin type cheese.  The chevre is available plain or with a variety of herbs and spices.

About the cheese maker

Barbara Jenness completed cheese making workshops in Montreal, Canada, and at Pure Luck Goat Farm in Texas.  She recently completed the Farmstead Cheese making Short Course at North Carolina State University.  Barbara is a member of the American Cheese Society and the Dairy Goat Association.
